Getting in Touch : Connections
Welcome Back, Johnny! | from EyesWideShut - Wednesday, April 18, 2007 accessed 1585 times Thankful for good friends! Sarafina & Johnny, I wanted to thank you for the terrific weekend on Pacific Beach! Welcome back from Haji Hell, Johnny, for however long you will be home! Emmanuel and I were finally able to get a baby sitter and get away, enjoying each other’s company, and that of friends new and old. You were so kind to invite us, and now we will have to tag you back! Johnny had been looking in on us all the way from Iraq, and filled me in on some of the goings on here at home when he got back. I had not been keeping up with the back and forth on www.movingon.org regarding this whole Tuneman7 thing, what with my attention. As my friends already know, I was the one who wrote that goodbye letter to TM7, the one he posted, for I am the wicked witch who married his childhood friend, with whom he is obviously much enamored. You thought it was me as you read, right, but then when TM7 started talking about what a powerful evil temptress I am, you said, “nah, that’s can’t be her”! Yes, unbeknownst to many of my friends, I am just that powerful. I am so desirable that I withhold my favors to exert control over my husband! I am that devastating, dammit !! Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that posting that letter helped TM7’s [basket] case any. As a matter of fact, I just found out that he had posted it, and took a gander at the comments above and below it and in some of the other posts, and I’m quite sure it worked against him. Pitty, that. He needs all the help he can get. It amuses me that I seem to be the face he put to every anonymous comment, eventually posting my letter in a kind of preemptive retaliation, when none of those anonymous comments were from me. Sounds like a man in a room full of mirrors. Paranoid much? Emmanuel and I have been together now over 11 years, and I’m proud of it! We love each other more than ever, and we have a good time with friends when we can swing it, and that’s what we did this weekend! We look forward to spending more time with you, our friends, as our son grows older, or if/when we move to some place closer to some of you. Thank you, my friends, for being friends. |

You are like the mother hen, or I should say Older Sister who does wonderful things to make sure all of us ex-culties had a place to stay and were well fed. Really you do take too much on yourself.....It was such an awesome time to see all of you I grew up with.....Sunny James, China, Dacil, Chris and Adrianne Rudow, China and her sister Angie, Monique, John Lamattery, Amy and Dikon and Jonathan (who I got to meet) and of course Johnny and all his wonderful family. Who cares if someone thinks this should be in email form, A lot of the most vocal people on this site were there and it truly was a wonderful experience of which we are most grateful. BTW welcome back Johnny I hope you have fun while you are here and stay safe...I love all of you so much my ex-cultie family!!! (reply to this comment)
| from content administrator Thursday, April 19, 2007 - 01:55 (Agree/Disagree?) Personal letters in public domain. Haven't you learned the art of personal email? This is like a communal cork board, tacking up your personals, "thanks for the weekend johnny", "love to swing it with friends Sara", "you can have the guest room", "lets go to disney land next weekend".... whats with the public announcement, how many people really want to know who you spend your weekend with or what you did? Weird, I suppose some people find it interesting, like soapy magazines, your appeal must be to all the housewives out there. isn't their myspace or bebo for this sort of personal chitchat? rubbish (reply to this comment)
| | | | | From Samuel Thursday, April 19, 2007, 04:05 (Agree/Disagree?) Not if oneof them is back from a war zone! It's not rubbish. it's telling us that she is the letters Tuneman 7 posted were fromt his girl. Apparently she wanted us to know that, who are you to decide what is rubbish and what is not? Keep in mind that no doubt Maria and Pter condier this whole site "rubbish"- I just had someone remind me of that yesterday morning in chat. I, for one, am quite happy to know that Johnny is on safe ground. Him and Sarah deserve a good time. And while I'm here- HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAXTER! See y'all later.(reply to this comment) |

| from Nancy Wednesday, April 18, 2007 - 19:42 (Agree/Disagree?) Sunny, babe, you know I love you, but you do not get to steal all the glory. I fancy myself the queen "flying whoring bitch." Yes, it was even suggested to me to register that screen name. Own it, right? I'll take Vandari and "flying whoring bitch" for a thousand Alex. And while the answer is "Who is Nancy?" I think the producers might also accept, "Who is Sunny?" ;) (reply to this comment)
| From EyesWideShut Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 22:20 (Agree/Disagree?) Flying whoring bitch? Ooh, I like that. It has a certain, ju no se qua (can't spell French for s**t). You can have it. I'm still undecided as to my favorite personal insult. There are just so many to choose from, but most of the direct quotes lack the black humor I'm looking for. Dearie, they say that if you can laugh at it you can live through it. Keep laughing! He who must not be named stopped laughing and look where it got him.(reply to this comment) |
