accessed 1151 times looking for hope charity,philip trumpet,mordici evangalist,mary lamb,dorcus deliverance or anyone who lived in concord/oakland colony from 7-75 through 10-75.it has been 30 years & curious if any of these people alive.if anyone who reads this knows of these people ,please let them know peter fisherman would just like to hear rom them & where they are in their relationship with the real jesus. thank you who read this. pete. |

Pete, I realise that you were only in TF for a short while and so you really have no way of understanding just how screwed up an existence it was to have been born into, or brought into as a young child. You have absolutely no concept of what the 'sweet brothers and sisters' you knew when you were a young, idealistic disciple, came to mean to us, the children who grew up in the clutches of the cult. They were our oppressors, our abusers, our demons in a living hell. And I'm not exaggerating either. Some of the members of this site have endured terrible terrible experiences in TF, and for that reason have every entitlement to the rage they feel. I am sorry that you feel that people are not sensitive enough, but let me tell you something, if you knew what sort of things they have had to deal with (and continue to have to work through even now, years after breaking away from that life), you might be more understanding of their reaction to your posts.
For your information, since you seem to not have read the notice on the Home Page that states 'Welcome to Moving On -- The website created by and for young adults with parents who joined the religious organization The Family / Children of God.', this is NOT a meet-your-old-friends-and-buddies-from-an-abusive-cult site for ex-cult members who joined of their own free will! You will most likely have more success in finding people who you lived with if you go to one of the sites mentioned on the home page: www.exfamily.org.

point proven & i apoligize.30 years ago i was 19,moved to calif from ia looking for a purpose & thought i found it with the cog. i had no idea this abuse existed until i looked up xfamily.org in feb 2005 & read about ricky was very surprised/shocked & angered. these people i knew 30 years ago,i didn't really know them & they probably were the people who abused & would not be people i would like. i do know of 1 woman who left several years after i did with 2 young daughter & have lost contact with her which probably is good. i am the one who turns out to be the insensitive one so will ask all who have responded to please forgive me. since the only time i have time to get on this site is when i work nights & don't do that often it's doubtful i will be back any time soon. my relationship with God through Jesus is what has made sense of my life & without Him my life would truly be in dispair. please don't disreguard how a true relationship with Jesus can & will change your life He will not disappoint you. again i apologize for being an ass.(reply to this comment) |
