Getting in Touch : Connections
Summit 96 | from steam - Monday, October 03, 2005 accessed 1204 times How "in tune" was The Family's Leadership when picking the "Future Leaders" for Summit 96. Just curious as to how many second generation people who attended Summit 96 have left. I remember wondering how many would still be in the group in ten years at the time, and seeing as it has been almost ten years I was curious. (I am one of the fallen Thankfuly). |

Watching the Summit Videos was one of the things that helped cement my passion for getting the hell out of that group. I was in Creations at the time. I know of several people who went who are now out. It was hosted outside of Ocean City Maryland, in early 1996. This is where Peter brought back a bunch of girls one of whom he "married" in a threesome with Zerby, the rest of which are just getting passed around to the pervs at his place. If those girls only knew how incredibly disposable they are to those characters. Makes me cringe. The made all the girls who were there who had "dates" with clown peter, write reactions. Zerby thought it was a great idea to publish those in an FSM, which I had the unfortunate responsibility of proofreading and laying out. Uuuuuurggh. What freaking ass-crap. Myself and a couple of others loudly protested that we thought it was "bad security" to publish the FSM and thankfully it got canned. I had come directly from a poor country to Creations, and I was pretty sincere in my faith, I hadn't been there for more than 15 minutes when I realized that something was very seriously wrong with these characters. What "missionary" group in their right mind would be interested in publishing a phamplet about their administrators exploitation of the daughters of his followers. How was that supposed to help any struggling "missionary" trying to put food on the table for his or her children? What a joke. (reply to this comment)
| From Phoenixkidd Wednesday, October 05, 2005, 13:57 (Agree/Disagree?) Oh my now I finally know what you are talking about, I remember hearing word that "almighty Peter" had actually visited a home in the US and they had invited all future generation leaders from the second generation to attend. All this was of course, after they had already finished those meetings. I remember feeling a bit left out and that I must be missing something. Then I just moved to Indo and we all went to Thailand to watch these videos. I was so so glad after seeing all the BS that I didn't have to attend. I was literally bored to tears, at least we got to see those videos in airconditioning.---MMM yes Luxury in the mission field. (reply to this comment) |

Could you tell us what it was about? Did they basically gather their star toadies for brown-noseing Jesus contest? (reply to this comment)
