Getting in Touch : Connections
Anyone attend Mexico TTC | from samuel fighter - Wednesday, August 04, 2004 accessed 1769 times Anyone attend Mexico TTC in Guadalajara in the 80's? I thought it would be fun to to talk and chat with some people who were there as well to see if we can locate some old friends. My REAL name is Zack! At the time I was called Sam, but I knew a ton of people there and had a lot of friends. I left the fam. about six months after the TTC, so I am long over all the Trauma BS, I just want to catch up with old friends. When at the time, we thought we would stay in touch and be friends for the rest of our lives. So give me a shout, if you were there! |

| From samuel fighter Saturday, October 07, 2006, 19:53 (Agree/Disagree?) Joan, All is great! How are you? Your statement has some great points, but I really dont't know if it's fair to tell others to "keep it to themselves"... All of us involved went through different experiences and some like mself and yourself from the sounds of it, have taken the good with the bad. I personally look at it as one of the many very adventurous times in my life. As my life was not impacted the way I have heard other lives have been. However some do not look at like this and some peoples lives were damaged and some people need to express it... It's all part of the "healing process". Sorry to sound cliche, but it's true. Some people on this sight just need to get some things off their chest and if they can't do it on this site where can they do it? So bottom line I welcome any and all feelings, thoughts, comments, rage, bitterness, poems, songs, rants and inner most secrets on my thread. LOL Enough about that, how are you? Where part of the world do you find yourself in these days? Wow, Peru learning to type by Nuns, we should all write a book. Each and everyone of us have such a unique and bazar story to tell. I currently live in Europe and have lived here for 5 years and love it. One thing my experiences have taught me was the inner need to travel and see new worlds and new people. How can I give you my email address without giving to the entire world? I would love to exchange recent photos with you? It is always so cool to see how people changed in 15yrs. Thanks for responding to my thread... Zack (reply to this comment) |
| | from Zack aka samuel fighter Thursday, July 14, 2005 - 14:45 (Agree/Disagree?) Yes, I remember you. So how is life and what are you doing now? I left the "cult" shortly after the Mex TTC. Teen camp had a huge effect in my life, so much, that I left Mexico and never looked back. lol The only shame is I left behind so many great personal friends. Of course me being one of the first of the new end time teen leaders to leave, I was not allowed communication with anyone. All of my personal items were inspected and most confiscated the day I left for the airport. Maybe they were especially hard with me as I shrugged off the leader role assigned or voted to me and quit. Nobody likes a quitter! So it is great after all these years to hear from some of the people who were there with me. It amazes me how so many people left as well. I lost all contact with my mother for some time, as she was still active and lost all contact with friends. So it's good to see that so many people opened their eyes and decided to live a real life. Still amazed @ this, I posted this thread over a year ago and people are still popping up and finding a lot of my friends. Right on! Zack (reply to this comment)
| From Bettyboop Friday, October 06, 2006, 21:09 (Agree/Disagree?) My oh my we have all come such a long way. It is an amazing thing when I look back on my life, I am amazed that I have so many experiences in my life, the good, the bad and the ugly. That is what makes us what we are. I speak everyday with people whose lives are so mundane, so boring and dull only wishing they had experienced more in life. In my 34 years I have lived in Europe, South America, Mexico and the USA. I have a better perspective on life because of it, I am interesting and full of stories. As I type this I am telling my wonderful man how I learned to type; in a small school run by nuns in a small town in Peru, no ribbon but carbon paper, amazing!! Here I am a manager in a Mortgage company great at what I do but having lived so much more. I have no regrets, sure there is much I can't even fathom having done or believed but I did, I still know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has been in control of my life. I choose to take the good, remember the best memories and the wonderful people I have met and wish them the best. For those who choose to let bitterness fester I caution you, move on that is the name of this site but what so few who visit this do. I believe if we were sitting at a dinner together enjoying a few drinks we would see things in a different light, laugh at the ridiculous and silly things we did. Again looking back I can barely believe the life I lived but it is what it is. I don't think prom and the likes can compare to the experiences I have traded. For those that were at the Mexico TTC, do you remember the energy? we had fun, now we critize but how many have lived that? Peru for those who went we all know that experience can never be relived the good and the bad. I reiterate I have no regrets future dreams for sure but I am a wonderful person due to all the mixed ingredients life has added to my life. If you want to get back in touch with me and tell me how great your life is I would be thrilled if your life sucks keep it to your self since that is entirely your fault. Love you all regardless, Thee blondee Do you know me?(reply to this comment) |
| | from hope Wednesday, July 13, 2005 - 18:52 (Agree/Disagree?) I was there. I was the only female with very short hair. I was somewhat of a "systemite" because I was out of the family for about 3 years before TTC. Unfortunately, they managed to totally brainwash my young mind in a very short time.
