Getting Support : Speaking Out
Peter Krusemark speaks out | from Wolf - Saturday, January 29, 2005 accessed 2056 times I sent this overwhelmingly positive testimony to www.myconclusion.com a week ago, and for some reason they still haven’t posted it. Maybe they are being flooded with positive responses and just don’t have time to post them all! So I thought maybe the sweet folks at movingon might help me out by posting this until they catch up over there. My testimony: My leadership told me that some bitter ex-members are saying awful things about the life of service I have chosen, and I feel personally offended. I don’t understand why people have to take it upon themselves to criticize my choices. Let me tell you a bit about myself and the life I’ve chosen, in what some people think is a weird and abusive cult, called “the Family International”. My name is Peter Krusemark, and I’m 29 years old. My earliest memories are traveling with my parents to countries all over Europe and Asia to give people a message of God’s love. How many children do you know that have been to 14 countries by the time they were 3 years old? That’s just one of the many examples of how blessed I’ve been. I also had the privilege of helping my parents to make money for their living expenses since I was 2 years old, by selling literature like “You Gotta be a Baby”, “Be So Happy” and “Quaddhafi’s Magic Lamp”. So many people don’t learn to make money until they’re adults, and I’m so happy I was able to get a grasp on this invaluable skill when I was still young. By the time I was 12 we even had great cassette tapes to sell, and a couple of years later the Family came out with two great children’s video series, one called “Kiddie Viddie” and the other one called “Treasure Attic”. These are by far the best children’s videos I’ve ever seen, and when I was 15 I got the privilege of selling those as well. One time, in Austria, a woman who didn’t realize the value of these videos complained to the police, and they took me and my adult partner into custody. Unfortunately I forgot the Family’s counsel in “Deceivers Yet True” and didn’t pretend I couldn’t speak German. This got us into lots of trouble; the police also didn’t like the photos in my adult partner’s album, which showed him sitting on a chair in one photo and lots of hungry Indian children on the opposite page. For some reason the police thought his whole story about helping people in India was fake. People can be so cynical! I’m kind of getting off the track, though. To backtrack a few years, when I was 10 years old, and so most other kids my age were going to school, I was learning valuable trades like carpentry, handyman work and gardening. For awhile I had a problem with a desire to read history books, encyclopedias and dictionaries, and I’m ashamed to admit that I even read them on the toilet sometimes to conceal my problem. But eventually I realized that the material published by the Family contains so much more valuable insight. So many people go through years of college and university and come out without any practical skills, but here I was, learning all kinds of useful things at just 10 years old. I even managed to learn basic programming while I was doing laundry, though I did have to hide the book in dirty sheets to keep anybody from finding out what I was doing. It’s also been wonderful to see how God always supplies for his children. At times it seemed like there would be nothing to eat the next day, but the Lord always came through miraculously for us. One time somebody even gave us four tons of liver paté! It was great to be able to eat such healthy food for lunch every day for the next year. Somebody else gave us two tons of mutton that was supposedly out of date. In fact it tasted really yummy, when cooked right. The first time I ate it my stomach felt kind of funny, but somebody told me that I would soon get used to it, and they were right! It’s amazing how resilient our bodies are. Anyway, this is getting kind of long and I don’t want to bore you; the main thing I’m trying to say is: the Family is a wonderful environment, and I can say without a doubt that this is the place I want to spend the rest of my life and raise my children. The bitter ex-members who are attacking us are just losers who need to get a life! We are doing what really counts, winning souls for Jesus, while they’re just working for mammon! God bless you! Peter Krusemark |

Reader's comments on this article Add a new comment on this article | from Joppa Thursday, February 03, 2005 - 22:43 (Agree/Disagree?) It is unfortunate your heartfelt opinion was not published @ myconclusion. Perhaps some still haven't arrived to the strength and faith to entertain other points of view.....HOWEVER if they are going to avoid your opinion because they don't have the time to bother with us lesser mortals (they themselves being so in touch with God) there is one detail to account for: An entire book was written, published with hard earned missionary money, revealing the promising future of the great End-time leader....Davidito! What is a False Prophet? (reply to this comment)
| From Wolf Friday, February 04, 2005, 01:46 (Agree/Disagree?) My “testimony” is certainly not “heartfelt” and I’m not surprised that it wasn’t published on www.myconclusion.com. I wrote it for entertainment purposes (though all the events described did actually happen). I avoided writing about the more serious abuse that I suffered, since that would not be very entertaining. As for David Berg, I can only think of two "prophecies" out of hundreds that came true. A person of average inteligence could have made better guesses.(reply to this comment) |
| | from Guccigirl Tuesday, February 01, 2005 - 12:34 (Agree/Disagree?) Peter, Peter, Peter.......... What can I say I LMFAO, however you failed to mention your snitching skills - which you executed so efficiently when we were in Paris. I think you were solely responsible for all of us (with the exception of yourself) getting busted with contraband. (reply to this comment)
| | | | | | | From Guccigirl Thursday, February 03, 2005, 05:47 (Agree/Disagree?) Your memory doesn't serve you well, my contraband didn't consist of 80's pop music (I'm not a bubblegum pop sort of girl) It was recordings of TF original albums .The Bible, The french music revolution & the albums from Brazil (70's). While I can't stand Family music - their original albums were awesome. Let me know when you have them and I'll let you know where to send them. Thanks(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | from Marc Saturday, January 29, 2005 - 22:17 (Agree/Disagree?) No offence to those of you who are still young . . . however, I couldn't help but notice that most of the posts on MyConclusion.com were made by those around 18-22. This ever-so-brilliant and quick-to-catch-on Leocon is only 21 (according to his profile). They are all so quick to claim that TF has never abused anyone or done anything remotely bad (i.e. Victor Programs, et cetera ad infinitum!). The irony of it all is that they were _BABIES_ (or not even born yet) while we, who are now 25-35+, were reading books like the Dito Book and our names were "appearing" on sharing schedules. I would dare say the likes of Leocon have never seen an uncensored version of the Dito book (or "I Dream of Grandma" for that matter). The poor creatures do not know their true history . . . for it has been erased (see "BAR pubs")! It would be funny if they weren't our little brothers and sisters . . . literally!! | from thepersoniamnow Saturday, January 29, 2005 - 18:13 (Agree/Disagree?) that was hilarious. I thot it was real the whole time (reply to this comment)
| from Anthony Saturday, January 29, 2005 - 13:28 (Agree/Disagree?) Peter, Peter, Satan desired to have thee… great writing sir. I remember the first time I got put on silence restriction and stuck in isolation at the age of 14, in Paris, you were the bellwether who cleared my stuff out of the Teen Boys room, (an attic actually), and brought it to Uncle Joseph’s room for inspection – you bastard – LOL! I remember thinking how smart and intelligent you were/are and I was impressed with you great command of the English language and hoped one day I’d be smart as Peter. And I’m still trying – all these years later, LOL! Hope all is well with your family, take good care. Regards, Tony (reply to this comment)
| | | | | | | | | | | from BedyBugs Saturday, January 29, 2005 - 13:03 (Agree/Disagree?) ILMAO! This is excellent! Once in a home I was in they mistakenly put detergent in the lemonade instead of sugar but they made everyone eat it and gave everyone the squits big time! the Leaders said with eyes popping out of their skull big huge out of fashion glasses and hair parted down the middle "you need to be grateful and stop murmuring honey" this stereotype self righteous person is known amongst my family and friends as a "Hi God bless you" calling the adults "HI God bless you's" caught on really quickly amongst the teens in Mexico so they banned it:D it was fun while it lasted though. I also remember when we lived in India we ate Ragi (chicken feed) and they used to mix it with chocolate to make it taste better but it was like eating sand Ugh! and also we used to eat liver blended and made into patties that were called "Snaufi Burgers" they smelt exactly the same way coming out of your back side as they did when you ate them! UGH! that was pretty jacked up dude! (reply to this comment)
| | | from FGA with sis still in group Saturday, January 29, 2005 - 11:03 (Agree/Disagree?) Would be funny if wasn't so true! Well-written without using anything that could offend...just the truth spoken simply and clearly...who can testify against that?? (reply to this comment)
| from katrim4 Saturday, January 29, 2005 - 10:58 (Agree/Disagree?) LOL. That was great. You even wrote it in simple english so that everyone could understand. If only we could all post our personal testimonies on myconclusion.com, then maybe everyone would see how wonderful the family really is. (reply to this comment)
| from Regi Saturday, January 29, 2005 - 10:40 (Agree/Disagree?) I think it’s great that MovingOn.org is a forum for all opinions and viewpoints. Unlike MyConclusion.com which strictly censors all postings allowing only one point of view to be expressed, the MovingOn admin allow everyone to “speak out.” MyConclusion.com is eerily similar to the press in a totalitarian regime. | | | | | | | | | | | | | From jpmagero Saturday, January 29, 2005, 12:09 (Agree/Disagree?) Well, aren't you the brightest little thing. Of course it was sarcastic, and rightly so. In the end, we have experienced many of the same things, some more and worse than others, but essentially had the same upbringing. We are looking at them through very different coloured glasses. If you are taught that it is ok to do something to a kid from the time you are a kid, you grow up thinking its ok. It's only when you realise that its not ok, and just because it happens to many other people in the world, it still doesn't make it ok. First of all, there are always two sides to everything and the fact that your post was allowed to go up and stay up shows the tolerance that should be afforded all opinions. If you'll notice, ALL the groups responses to our comments, articles and such (whether to us directly, about us, or otherwise) are published in whole here if someone so chooses, but I'll bet the you can't tell me when the last time any ex-members views were published in their entirety by any family publication (official or otherwise). This should not include taking the one or two line rant from one person, but rather a whole valid thought process or out article. The very fact that all views are expressed whether the conform to the sites admins opinions or not shows the tolerance, open mindedness and freedom we practice. If members can come here and respond to our opinions, then we should be able to go to myconclusion.com and responding to yours, not that I personally would want to or really give a shit what the rest of the world thinks, especially someone seemingly feeble minded as yourself.(reply to this comment) |
