accessed 675 times This is sad. For a site called "moving on", you all spend way too much time living in the past.
I was hoping to find people whom I could talk and relate to, unfortunately for me, I came to the wrong place.

My guess, you newly discovered the site, thought you could find some comradarie, and were hurt by the non-group psychology present.
The fact of the matter is that most of us have all grown into our own individuals and have had to adapt to circumstance and life. You will probably come to realise this over the next couple years. After which, you may or may not decide to come back here and begin vocalising your thoughts on that level.
I had some similiar feelings when I first got here. You'll get over it. There are also many people here who are willing to sympathetically discuss starting a new life "outside". If you present your questions with sincerity, I think you'll find what you are looking for. It's hard to find it though, when you haven't even asked the questions yet. If you need to, please reach out. Don't just condemn everyone here.

I cannot deny that at the moment this site is rather depressing and pathetic. As individuals we are not. We are smart, funny, energetic, compassionate, creative people. Who have a great capacity of over-coming our up bringing. We sometimes go back there, but we don't stay there.
Perhaps, you don't like us at the present moment. But don't dismiss us completely. Get to know us. You may like what you find.

It is slightly sad at the moment, mainly due to an anonymous spammer annoying the shit out of everyone. Have a look through the tabs on the top right and find some older stuff from when the site was young and full of energy and passion. Joe H makes for great reading!
