Getting On : Faith
I haven't been revewing and need some help | from mugthebug - Saturday, December 03, 2005 accessed 1392 times I can't even find my old "Family" bible with all the cross references in it. I got into a discussion with a pentacostal who tried to tell me that even though I had at one point been saved that I was still going to hell because I am now an "unbeliever". I told her that there is a verse in the Bible that says something along the lines of "I am married to the backslider" but now I can't find it or my bible, so I was wondering if any of you ex(or current ) bible geinuses could help me with this. Thanks, Meg |

The verse you're thinking of is Jeremiah 3:14: "Turn, O backsliding children saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion" In my opinion the best verse for you to quote would be John 6:37: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (Sour grapes alert) Oh well, at least my head isn't full of "Dianetics", it could be worse. (reply to this comment)
