Getting On : All My Politics
The Right Wrong War | from movingunder - Sunday, March 30, 2003 accessed 1162 times All is vanity If any thing our past should have taught us should be we cant take any thing at face value. From a "World Justice" point of view, there are plenty of arguments that can justify both the need for Peace or War. However when all is said the facts remain that what we think or say does not mater one bit (that is except to us). Those who are in the real position of power are all making decision for one single purpose: Personal Interest. Anything short of that is just a bunch of hot air delivered to all those ready to take in a nice whiff of it. Personal Interest = Money and/or Power A person that is truly interested in getting to the core of the mater, will in the end discover that those who are in any position of power or influence whether it be from the UN, United States, England, France, Russia, Germany, Turkey, etc... All are taking the position for or against "War/Peace" and are doing it all for the same reasons. This is the real and yet never ending war of all ages whether it may be for religious or political of any side. But for the vast majority of us that prefer to give credence to the "Just Cause" well go on be a player. After all if with much knowledge cometh much sorrow, well whats the use of "knowledge"? |

So what if America has special interests in Iraq! You think that other countries wouldn't jump at the opportunity if they knew they could get away with it? Russia tried to do it with Afghanistan for something like eight years. The French have just as much interests in profiting off Iraq, they are just too chicken shit to go against the UN and express that very opinion, look at what they are doing now; they are trying to seek a position in the reconstruction of Iraq now that they see most of the bloody and controversal work has been done for them. America does have special interests, we want oil, and what is wrong with that? It after all does mean a great deal to our economy. We need the stratigical advantage as well; to establish a western bed of culture in the middle east that will hopefully curb some of the ill feelings that have been growing stronger in the Arab world for the last twenty years or so. Or perhaps we could have left Saddam alone so that every couple of years when a president gets a blow job from an intern, we can direct the medias attention instead to bombs dropping on bahgdad, and that evil saddam. Lance, you do realize that you're justifying war based on the actions of the Soviets ten years ago? Think for a second. We all know the world is a screwed up place and that governments do evil things, but should that make the screwed-up actions of the US government okay. Look at your statement "We want oil, and what is wrong with that?" It's pretty obvious what's wrong with that! Going to war for oil is f--ked up!! I'm happy that we're winning and I like to think that the long term result is going to be positive, but I am against this war! "hopefully curb some of the ill feelings"?? How dumb are you? This is your thought pattern: "Hmm, they don't like us, how about we invade one of their countries?" Really!!! Think about it man, take a moment to think critically for God's sake! You know what Joe, I'm fucking tired of you fucking red diaper, doper babies getting all passionate about oil. Why don't you grow the fuck up and explain yourself a little better. Going to war seems a good excuse for you to be a punk-ass bitch. I wish it was just that simple; that the action in Iraq could be justified and vilified by that black gold everyone goes nuts for. That way, dumb ass wanna-be intellectuals like yourself can have an excuse can voice their whinney, pubescent opinion. And learn how to break down what you read. I was not basing my arguement on the actions of the soviets. I was just saying that that although their hasn't been an invasion of this magnitude in many years, it's not as though it hasn't happened before; somehow when the USA does it, the world shudders. I say again, you have a tramendous love for rediculous comparisons. Why is going to oil fucked up? If you don't know why replacing a totalitarian, western hating bed of power with a democratic government, that is friendly to western interests; if you do not know why putting this prowestern government in the heart of the middle east has the potential to strengthen relations between Arabs and Americans, then you should do me a favour and shoot yourself in the foot. If I must choose "evils" I chose to have the USA as the world power. Those that think for one moment that the World would be a better place and we would all live in peace with out the American Way, are nothing but a bunch of fools. This anti war is stuff is such a 60s crock of shit, of course the war is for selfish reasons -- Big deal! France is just grudging, that the USA does not fall for the "Peace" good intentions shit. The French really wanted Sadam to stay on top cause it kept Irak oil market to them and Russia and kept the USA out of it. So Fuck the French (reply to this comment)

The way I see it War and Peace have nothing to do with care for Irak's population its all a bunch of propaganda. There are victims of War as a result of war and there are victims of the suposed "Peace" or "Diplomacy" (reply to this comment)

I think Sadam has done a great job bribing the EU countries such as France and Germany not to mention the UN they are all making big bucks, as if any of them give a shit for all the kids dying in Africa. its all a big biz. Which one do you choose to be fool by? (reply to this comment)
