This compounds a very interesting point about Berg: very little about his doctrine was original, and he was always fully comfortable with hi-jacking someone else's movement with his own labels. Bra- burning was meant to be a symbolic action synonymous with radical feminism; he stole it and turned it into the medium for sexual exploitation. Neither was this in any way a unique example. Does anyone remember 'Cromwell'? Berg wrote it after seeing the fucking Richard Harris film. I bet he knew fuck all about Cromwell, he was just inspired to capitalise on someone else's work for his own ends. 'Patton' was another example of this. Why the fuck did he idolise Macarthur and demonise Truman? They were both willing to use the Bomb. And if he ever bothered to speak to any Japanese people he'd realise that they did not hold Macarthur in anywhere near the degree he thought they did. It was all specualation, or just re-directed propaganda. And most of his historical perspective was not in any way substantiated by evidence. I wonder if any of the TF people who ramble on about the Cathars actually know who the hell the Cathars actually were, because their doctrines were in major contradiction to those of the Family. If the Cathars were around today Berg or Zerby would have labelled them misguided. I don't even need ot go into his denial of the Holocaust. How about 'Black holes'?, where Berg basically said on no uncertain terms that he didn't think that black people or black countries were worth his time ( This seems to have changed in recent years); or 'the Black Nightmare', which was basically an expression of very typical white older-generation phobias about 'black invasions' by syringe-wielding maniacs who were going to poison everyone with their drugs.
