Getting Out : Media Reports
Help Needed In a Proposed Media Article | from munchmoney - Thursday, January 24, 2008 accessed 1126 times Hi there everyone.. I'm getting a media package read to release to the press and I need some help regarding how to contact the media with my story while remaining anonomous.. Ok basically I am collecting evidence to launch an inquiry into the illegal activities that TFI, in my country, are currently involved in. I would be looking for people who have had similar experiences themselves. I will not be disclosing my location because of all the monitoring on this site. For this to be successful it needs to be a complete surprise. I can however say that the country this is being planned in is where TFI has had no media coverage for a very long time and has found ways to thrive unchecked by the government. By doing this I feel that I would really make a difference. I would like discuss this further with anyone who is able to offer assistance or is interested or has knowledge and experience on this subject. Please contact me ASAP at berry_mon@yahoo.com Cheers |

I think it´s easier if you make some millions of dollars and buy a media of your own or... climb the ladder of a big newspaper into the editorial council or sth. Or you could use Family tactics - print tracts and go "litnessing"... If you were requested some information than that´s one thing but it sounds like you want to use some journalist and a media vehicle with non-declared motives. Such a "cultic" way to do things. | from Jailbird Tuesday, January 29, 2008 - 14:08 (Agree/Disagree?) Hmm. ... If you've lived overseas and were in the group you have a network of people you grew up with etc., so verifying that you're not a cult mole, shouldn't be an issue. I doubt you'll have much success with the media while trying to remain anonymous. The media want blood, rape, gore., etc., that's what sells papers, tv ads etc., it's very rare to find journalists who are willing to peel the onion a few layers to get a substantive story out. But it does happen from time to time. Even if you can't give them all the gore they want, the general public does/will respond to personal stories, but you will have to "put yourself out there," as others have done. Doing it anonymously will not work, at least I've never seen an example where it has. You'll have to be prepared to be made a target by the group and your former peers, and pissy people on this site, and your story has to withstand fact checks etc. ... I'd be cautions of responding to anonymous email contacts from anywhere, especially people on this site. Get people on the phone, voice patterns give away a great deal about individuals that writing can't or won't. Don't give away information about yourself that will/can be used against you. In terms of your personal information and who you are, if you're going into it with a pre-set of expectations and understanding of how the media operates, what their objectives are the lifepsan of a story, what constitutes a story in their eyes etc. ... You're better off dealing with the media directly with documentation support from a few people, than by trusting anyone on this site. (reply to this comment)
| from sar Monday, January 28, 2008 - 04:29 (Agree/Disagree?) I don't understand why people think that people on this site would trust someone or offer to help them without knowing what it is that they are helping them to do. Why the secrecy? Why the need for surprise? Why would you assume that people would give you information without you giving basic information on what the information given would be used for? (reply to this comment)
| from shikaka Friday, January 25, 2008 - 12:45 (Agree/Disagree?) What an astonishingly dimwitted thing to do, posting such a thing on this website. I'm sure it'll now come as a massive shock to TF when you whip up your little media storm. They wont have gotten any warning! Cmon people! Lets at least pretend that we aren't "our own worst enemies". Sun Tzu is turning in his grave. (reply to this comment)
| From Inspector Jacques Clouseau Sunday, January 27, 2008, 05:16 (Agree/Disagree?) Kato, this is so obvious that only an intellecual dufusite, of extreme dufusness, would believe that an anouncement outwardly seeming of such "extreme bogus-ness" , could actually be true. Therefore, Kato, it is obvious that this is a trap. No doubt, cultist reading this very same article are cunning enough to divine that agent code-named "muchmoney", is in fact attempting to mis-lead then into the bogus assumption that he actually is in the country or area where his profile originally said he was. Either that, Kato, or the shrewd, "Muchmoney" is attempting to mislead the cultist into thinking "This is so obvious, it couldn't possibly be a trap." Thus successfully luring the unsuspecting criminal cultist into an irrational state, in which said cultists percieves his situation to be one where he experiences a "level of relaxation" which is excessive and in no way commensurate with the relaxationary stimuli available to him or her and that ordinarily required to produce said "level of relaxation". Thus false sense of fantasticness or and spiritual gooviness falls over said cultist making them that much more unprepared-for, and vulerable to, MuchMoney's cunning media offensive. Incredible, Kato. ..(reply to this comment) |

| | | | | | | | | | | from figaro Friday, January 25, 2008 - 06:34 (Agree/Disagree?) I would be very cautious of who I spoke to about this via email. There are current members who get on this site and could easily send you an email saying they are one of the main members here like V, or Madly, or Johnny Walker for instance, and could just say they didn't want to say anything about helping you here on the board. Then you would have no way of knowing for sure if thats the person you're actually talking to and could give away important information to a currentmember and completely ruin your whole plan. Just a thought. Since I am assuming this is not in the US I don't think I could be of any help to you, just let us know whats going on when its safe to talk about it on a public board. Best of luck to you, bring those bastards some justice!! Just, if you can, try to only hurt the guilty, if you make the innocent suffer then how are we any better then them? (reply to this comment)
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | From rainy Friday, January 25, 2008, 16:18 (Agree/Disagree?) Hmm...you'd have to be pretty brainless to fall for that. At least you'd ask the other members, because most of us know each other's legal names and email addresses. I don't think anyone could get away with impersonating one of those (main?!) three, unless the person were a complete and utter idiot, or so new to the site that there would be no point in using the name of a frequent member anyway.(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | From Lance Saturday, January 26, 2008, 22:54 (Agree/Disagree?) Actually, you never know. The cult could soon be sharpening their spiritual battle axes to combat the evil: "Barry_mon@yahoo.com" . . . I can see it now: The Evil internet has given a name to an anonymous IP address. (simulation) We pray to you, dear multiply endowed with many breast and penises savior. We ask that you endow us with a greater intelligent then the FBI and homeland security. . . who couldn't give a shit about us anyway; but with the awesome power of Jesus we will not cease in our commitment to countless hours of hissing at this demonic presence in cyberspace. | | | | | | | | From conan Friday, January 25, 2008, 15:50 (Agree/Disagree?) HUH?? WHAT????? Seriously? This site has three main members? And they are 'V', 'Madly', and JohnnieWalker'???? Really? I had no idea. Did I miss the memo? I'm sure they're all very flattered and all, but were they elected? Are they appointed by admin? I want to know how I can make sure to never get on that short list, ever...so if you could let me know how they got there, I'll begin campaigning to avoid the same fate!(reply to this comment) |
