Hi Rainy, No this is not spam, Im a Making this doco not for money, not for fame but to get people aware of the family international and all of there hundreds of diffenernt charity's around the world. They have leaders from the 70s and 80s running chairtys and camps in Africa and other places around the world, these people have been linked to child abuse and are running all sorts of children based foundations now in 2006, do u want these people running around the world with heaps of cash and children and there bck and call Rainy? Please don't write anything here unless its positive. If someone helped me as a child maybe i would have ended up scared for life... The reason for the mistakes my keyboard doesn't work the best some of the keys just dont work, i try to fix all spelling mistakes but if u have a crap typewriter u know how it is..... If anybody wants to help with movie please let me know.. Thankyou (reply to this comment) |
| | From sar Sunday, November 11, 2007, 23:35 (Agree/Disagree?) In case you haven't noticed, most of us will pretty much write what we want when you want. I am not interested in telling in you what you want to hear. I will say what I want to say, as negative as it may be. Firstly, your mistakes are not from your keyboard. Some of them are obviously from a lack of education, but I won't hold that against you as that would probably amount to some form of intellectual snobbery. Perhaps you weren't given the opportunity to go to school. Secondly, you seem to have come to your conclusion as to what your documentary's about and it doesn't sound like it will be made from an objective view point. It might disappoint you to know most of what happened in the Family, happened in the Family. Their strange and even abusive doctrines did not apply to children they would come into contact with outside the Family. Family homes also do not have heaps of cash. Family members tend to be very poor. It is only the top leaders that have money. One further point is that it is usually second generation adults that run the charity side of the organisations - from what I've seen. Second generation adults should, in my opinion, not be blamed for or lumped in with what their parents might have done. They were either children or not yet born when the most harmful policies applied. Adults that grew up in the Family have not been generally linked with perpetuating abuses. With all that in mind and bearing in mind your purpose for making the documentary, I don't think the Family will be the best example to use.(reply to this comment) |
| | From bohostudios Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 18:26 (Agree/Disagree?) Firstly, Im sorry about my lack of education i didn't mean to offend you. Secondly, u don't know what my film is about? So how do u know what my objective view point is? Its not a disappointment what happened in the Family happened,Its was sick and down right torture. I know family homes don't have heaps of Cash! All the money gets funneled up to the top, to people like Karen Zerby, Steven Douglas Kelly, Samuel Charles Perfilio and many more. U know Them? To your last Point, If u done some research then u would find that founding members are still very active working in countries all over the world, helping children!!!!! There have been numerous accounts of alleged child abuse and rape from these people that are in charge now so please. I hope u enjoy the movie when it comes out... Thankyou(reply to this comment) |
| | From sarafina Wednesday, November 07, 2007, 01:27 (Agree/Disagree?) Nothing personal toward you rainy, I adore you. But when I read this I thought to myself, we should only be so lucky if this is our spam, there was a time we were knocking and screaming on peoples doors begging then to listen to our story, asking the media to give us a voice. Now that people are listening, should we be so unapproachable? I know sometimes the post seem monotonous but we have to remember it means people are paying attention and our voices are being heard and although maybe not all of them are the right outlet, I am thankful we are still being approached when we stop getting "spammed" is when I'll start worrying. There are so many of us who may have not had the chance to tell their personal story yet and the time may be right for them sometime soon. Just a thought.(reply to this comment) |
