Getting Out : Seeking Justice
Open Heart Reports | from Kyla - Wednesday, August 01, 2007 accessed 892 times Hi, I'm not sure if 'Seeking Justice' is the right place to put this, but given what I'm trying to do with any information I receive, I thought I'd give it a shot... I wondered if anyone has any old OHR forms or can remember what exactly were the questions they asked. Any information/memories would be greatly appreciated, either posted here or sent to my profile's email address. Many thanks in advance, Ella |

To add to one of the questions it sounded somethin like this: Did you have a BM? Was it a float? HAHAHAH! (reply to this comment)
| from Phoenixkidd Thursday, August 02, 2007 - 11:59 (Agree/Disagree?) There were many forms of the OHR, prior to the Philppine exodus to Japan these were called something else, like daily log chart or something. But the OHR was a small piece of paper, photocopied, a wierd shape, about 4 by 6 inches, on both sides. It had about 10 circle boxes for yes no answers to questions at the top such as: BM Hard? Soft? (I remember getting stumped at what to do for normal BM's on this one) Love? Yes No >>. With Whom? (I wished I could put something here when I was 12, but nothing would ever happen) Health: Any problems? Please explain: (As always I answered nothing) Share your reactions to wordtime: (This was a eulogy of pseudo insights, double reading and cross referencing Berg's teachings. Just a bunch of nonsense. It did teach me how to BS though) Share your lessons, trials, victories: (This one was really difficult, usually nothing happened in these categories to a clueless 13 year old) Any Needs: (This one was always ignored unless you harped on them for a month) These were done meticulously each day, and sometimes we would get written comments back. With being the self-righteous goody goody 2 shoes, I actually enjoyed or became extremely offended if they criticized my insights into "God's Word" (reply to this comment)
| From rainy Thursday, August 02, 2007, 12:15 (Agree/Disagree?) For the word time bit they would meticulously check that you weren't including paragraphs of the letter in your 'reaction', so that was trickier. But if you wrangled paragraphs into the other other answers, they'd be none the wiser. By the time 'prophecy' was a big deal, I could easily spout entire original GNs. And think it was God. | | | | From smashingrrl Thursday, August 02, 2007, 21:15 (Agree/Disagree?) I used to charge for them. I'm pretty fucking sure each one of us shares two talents in common. We can bullshit better than anyone we've ever met out in this shitty but real world. And don't even try to fucking bullshit us, we're living, breathing polygraph tests on legs. And now to digress. Um, just watch the doctor phil show on youtube cause I'm writing a paper that I'll pass off as "about a friend of mine". So I will now be my usual (usual=no deeper than a frisbee) self and say, Kristi, you're adorable. (reply to this comment) |
| | From figaro Thursday, August 02, 2007, 22:55 (Agree/Disagree?) Oh yea, being that I was the "bad apple" everything that I did was automatically deemed bad, even if the other kids where allowed to do it just fine. So I had to REALLY get good at making good sounding reasons (always labeled "excuses"), logical explanations (but logic was fairly useless back then) or just plain lying to make what I did either seem to be "of the lord" or to simply deny having done it. So my ability to do all those things, and to spot others doing it, became remarkable.(reply to this comment) |

| from thatata Thursday, August 02, 2007 - 06:28 (Agree/Disagree?) The Family hardly taught anybody how to really write. All they gave you was an OHR. I think Ill blame them, for this specific kind of rotten education. (reply to this comment)
| From sar Thursday, August 02, 2007, 08:38 (Agree/Disagree?) Yeah, instead of creative writing we had to write about trials and tribulations, I remember very frequently having trials about not having any trials. I haven't had to write one yet, but I think we must be good at writing self evalutation reports. I think we also honed the skill of writing in Elizabethan English. I can only imagine the expression of a prospective employer reading that on a CV.(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | | | from rainy Thursday, August 02, 2007 - 04:35 (Agree/Disagree?) It was SO hard having to right them every day, because I wasn't exactly sure what it felt like to have battles and victories, or how to know when I was having them. I became good at opening up word books, finding random paragraphs and twisting the words so they wouldn't be perfectly recognisable to formulate some kind of victory and battle. Or you get together with a friend and both decide on a story, that you had an argument and got the victory, and learned lessons on unity. Because if you handed in an empty OHR, there was a reading list on honesty awaiting you. (reply to this comment)

| From vix Wednesday, August 01, 2007, 13:30 (Agree/Disagree?) Heh smartass! Would you believe it took me a second or three to work that one out (blushes). Need to get some gingko balboa or something. BTW, who had such a breakdown in sense of humour that they actually thought it necessary to give the above poster a thumbs down?? If I didn't know better (which I don't) I'd say we've got some pretty fucking touchy people hanging around lately! (reply to this comment) |
| | | | from Ne Oublie Wednesday, August 01, 2007 - 08:04 (Agree/Disagree?) Aside from the "What Word did you read?", "What lessons did you learn from reading the Word?", "What was your biggest lesson of the day?" ilk, I distinctly remember having to chronicle the number of glasses of water drunk, BMs - how many and a description - and even who, if anyone, you had 'shared' with that day. | From PopNFresh Thursday, August 02, 2007, 11:26 (Agree/Disagree?) Lets not forget your NWOs (Need Work Ons). I too started using that form at about the age of 8. If you left the NWOs blank, you'd get a lecture on what you really needed work on, which was pretty much anything and everything. If you filled it in, you were sure to get a demerit the next day for the very thing you needed work on. I finally figured out that I should fill in the lowest point demerit items, so one day I would put "talking above a whisper", and the next it would be "forgetting to wash my hands", and so on, and then be sure to be seen by the adults improving my NWOs. Didn't matter much though. Missing out on Pollyanna for movie night wasn't so bad. "Pollyaaaaaaaaaannnnaaaa! Come and play!"(reply to this comment) |
