Getting Out : Seeking Justice

question about the poll

Is there a way to be able to click more than once on the abuse poll? In my case I could click two options. Some of the replies are not mutually exclusive. Also I think there should be another "other" options because there were other answers given to us, aside from Ro: 8:28. I think this poll is very important. Can anybody clear this for me?

Any question which starts – I attempted suicide ….. surely you would read as ‘having already attempted suicide’?

Yes I agree that this is an important poll, if it was worded in the following way, would it help it be mutually exclusive?

Q: Did you consider or attempt suicide before joining (or being brought into the group by parent/s) while you were in or since you have left the Family?

No – In my life I have neither considered not attempted suicide

I had suicidal thoughts before joining The Family (or before being brought into the group by my parent/s), but did not make an attempt.

I was talking about the more recent general abuse (it would be nice to specify sexual, physical etc. as it tends to become a free for all words and loses its power) poll, but the remarks you make about the suicide seem appropriate as well. I noticed there was no option for having already attempted suicide, and I thought it may be because it gets too personal? Still it is anonymous so it may be ok.

These last 2 polls are extremely important as we don't have other data at our disposal so far. Even in a small sample of a few hundreds these data become very meaningful for possible scholarly (or media) investigations.(reply to this comment

Weekly Poll

What should the weekly poll be changed to?

 The every so often poll.

 The semi-anual poll.

Whenever the editor gets to it poll.

The poll you never heard about because you have never looked at previous polls which really means the polls that never got posted.

 The out dated poll.

The who really gives a crap poll.
