Getting Out : Creeps
The Pledge | from SeanSwede - Saturday, March 31, 2007 accessed 1651 times I was forced to read this once when I was 8yrs old at the same time while I was getting a spanking. The year was 1986, Yokosuka, Japan. -I pledge my love, loyalty and service to my saviour and commander in chief Jesus Christ and to his end-time army the revolution for Jesus. By the grace of God I am determined to be a faithful soldier striving always to fight for the right, stand up for the truth and to love and win as many souls as I can for his heavenly kingdom.-Amen- As far as I`m concerned, they can take this pledge and shove it up where the sun don`t shine...yes thats including you Nerdy Zerby! |

| | | | | from SeanSwede Wednesday, April 18, 2007 - 13:44 (Agree/Disagree?) What in hell is this "contract" BS that you are telling us about. Sounds interessting. (reply to this comment)
| from A penny for my soul? Wednesday, April 18, 2007 - 00:14 (Agree/Disagree?) The pledge of allegiance eh? Nostalgia creeps in again... But that little pledge wasn't too bad compared to that contract thing that came out some time more recently. (reply to this comment)
| From Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 00:57 (Agree/Disagree?) yeah, my sis was made to sign that when she turned 16... 6 months later she decides she wants to leave and they tell her: 1. You are too young to make that kind of decision and 2. You have already signed the contract so you cannot go back on your word. Now they are shipping her off to the "field" in an effort to "save" her. Apparently you are old enough to choose to be in but when you choose not to, you revert to being a minor.(reply to this comment) |
| | From rainy Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 02:51 (Agree/Disagree?) It's hard to believe this ridiculous double standard they've got when they decide that children who've been indoctrinated all their lives have now reached the age of accountablity and responsibility for being in the Family is now put on their shoulders. Maybe they should adopt the Amish approach and send them into the world for a year of debauchery, no judgement attached, to make up their own minds.(reply to this comment) |
| | from Cat girl Tuesday, April 17, 2007 - 18:51 (Agree/Disagree?) pathetic darling.....In real life I've heared of people that have got it alot worse in this day and age. Read your news paper..actually I tend to belive the complaints of those people more then some x members disgruntled twisted lies . Do you know that it is psycologicaly proven that humans tend to make up there own memories according to the way they feel ...you need to get rid of your bitterness it is not good for you. (reply to this comment)
| From Kali Yuga Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 17:24 (Agree/Disagree?) Why not study the research on false memory syndrome before drawing the conclusion that people on this site are making stuff up to fit the way they feel? If you're still in the Family, you may not have enough intellectual curiosity, courage or honesty to find out the truth about this "psychologicaly proven" claim for yourself. To help you along the way, here's why your so-called psychological proof regarding false memory syndrome does not apply to people at MO: Most, if not all, of these survivors can corroborate their abuse and neglect claims with eyewitness testimony from other people. Abuse and neglect claims can be corroborated by other people who were there and saw it take place or heard about it first hand at the time it happened. Why do you suppose some of the FGAs who've left have gone on record with apologies and affadavits? In addition, the evidence for a huge amount of the abuse that went down in the 70s & 80s can be found in MLs. Try reading "The Last State" for starters.(reply to this comment) |
| | From cheeks Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 14:45 (Agree/Disagree?) Honey, I am so happy for you. I am happy that you grew up in the Family feeling safe and secure and loved. I happy that you did not have to feel the pain and rage that I felt when I was young. I am happy that you were never sexually assulted like I was. I am happy that you were never in Victors or had to wear a sign that hung on your neck the said Please don't talk to me I am on Silence Restriction. I am happy for you that you were never put in spiritual quarantine, or had a prayer of deliverance for the demons you allegedly had inside of you. But most of all I am happy that the sacrafices that I and those of my peers made were worth it. Because of us you were blessed, because of us you never had to go through what we went through. To me it makes everything I went through worthwhile. (reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | From Falcon Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 02:40 (Agree/Disagree?) An occasional grammatic mistake is to be expected from everyone. Consistent mispelling denotes a lack of education. If a "company" tries sending me an email ridden with typos, I will instantly relegate it to spam. Yes, I do expect high standards from people in that regard. Lazy writing, to me, equates either ignorance or a lazy mind. If it is the first, there is no reason the ignorant cannot educate themselves, if it is the second, I have no respect for laziness. If that makes me a snob, then I am a snob.(reply to this comment) |
| | From rainy Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 02:54 (Agree/Disagree?) Falcon, I'm sorry for being so bitchy about it, because I enjoy your articles and I like you. I just don't like the intolerance that is often shown to family members here. I know they're intolerant first, but they're still brainwashed! This site is for them too, and they need it as much as we do. I want them to feel welcome and safe to discuss their lives and explore their feelings.(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | From noregrets Tuesday, April 17, 2007, 19:56 (Agree/Disagree?) Hold up! If I'm not mistaken this site was made for people to rant, rave, argue, let whatever is bothering them out and in some cases be just plain foolish. I think it's sad that you'd call that pathetic. Yeah people had it, HAVE it worse, the world is a big bad place. It still doesn't take away the pain of someone that went through it. Calling that pathetic is just cruel, you don't know what it did to him, you don't know what he went through. Maybe you had a good childhood, maybe you were spared of all types of abuse, who knows?! I certainly wouldn't begin to judge you for that; since I don't know you, where you come from and what made you into the person you are today. So what if people had it worse, or have it worse...this is not a "who had it worse" competition, this is a place where people come to express themselves, and people who have gone through these things already have enough of a hard time even thinking about it, imagine how hard it must be to actually post it in a public place without having to have someone question how "Legit" their memories are. That is a total lack of respect and disregard for someone's feelings, maybe you could try stepping down from your high horse and let people be and vent as they feel they must, if not that; I'm pretty sure you can find plenty of other sites where you'll hear "legit" memories and complaints, instead of disgruntled twisted lies from Ex-Members. Have you gotten rid of all your bitterness Darling? P.S hit spell check next time(reply to this comment) |
| | From Disgusted Tuesday, April 17, 2007, 21:16 (Agree/Disagree?) "Cat girl" is obviously a Family member. Look at the language she uses: "disgruntled twisted lies" "get rid of your bitterness" "humans tend to make up there own memories according to the way they feel" "I've heared of people that have got it alot worse in this day and age" Besides the horrible spelling and grammar, there is another dead giveaway. They use a series of dots "..." to connect sentences. These are called "Ellipsis" They are supposed to be used for any omitted word, phrase, line or paragraph from within a quoted passage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipsis The reason Family members misuse them so much is because of the Daily Breads. WS condensed (And censored) the "Mo Letters" into shorter versions, wherever they cutout the original text they used ellipsis to fill the gaps. This is the correct use of these marks, but as a result of reading so many of these condensed letters, many Family members started using them in place of commas and periods. They’ll write whole paragraphs with each sentence running into the next, separated by those stupid dots. When people have been out for a while they stop using them this way. I'd bet this is a current, or recently separated Family Member.(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | | | | | | | from murasaki Wednesday, April 04, 2007 - 08:00 (Agree/Disagree?) Actually it was "fight for the right, stand up for the truth....." I'm sorry you feel you lost your soul, or whatever. Personally, I think it was all pretty funny, the stuff they had us do, all the while thinking that everything was crucial to the future of the world. (reply to this comment)
| from figaro Monday, April 02, 2007 - 10:16 (Agree/Disagree?) aahh yes, we had to recite that pledge many many times. including before "school" meals, and just about every time we prayed. it meant nothing to me but mere words spoken forcefully, and insincerely. (reply to this comment)
| from Falcon Sunday, April 01, 2007 - 03:55 (Agree/Disagree?) I paid lipservice to many a pledge. It meant as much as it is. A piece of paper with some rubbish babble on it. Speaking however many pledges as they made you speak did not give them divine rights over your soul or dignity. That is and always will be yours. (reply to this comment)
| | | | | | | | | From Somebody New Sunday, April 08, 2007, 05:33 (Agree/Disagree?) Did you pay a fair market price? Or did you get it on the cheap and gyp them. As trading standards officer, I charge you with numerous violations of the "Soul Trading Act, Year of our Lord 33/34 BC", and order you to give a full refund as well as pay damages and compensations amounting to......I don't think there's a number invented yet that goes high enough; So let's just say you have forfeited your own in their stead! (reply to this comment) |
| | | | From Falcon Monday, April 02, 2007, 14:07 (Agree/Disagree?) I sold mine to an African witch doctor for a fertility rite in exchange for 100 cows. Now I'm a cattle farmer...at least it's honest work. The only downside is that I'm richer than the local chief, so there's no way a husband can afford me...Okay, not really a downside. I'm rich enough to choose and pay for many husbands! I think I'll start a man harem! Hoorah!(reply to this comment) |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | from Pledge is Just Furniture Polish Saturday, March 31, 2007 - 18:17 (Agree/Disagree?) Yeah, they invented that one for the first TTC. They had us repeat it a lot. They tried to steal our souls. They tore them up, but they were not able to take them. I don't think we need them back, we just need to nurture them to health. Take care of yourself and don't let the bastards get you down. (reply to this comment)
